Escwa : Announced winner on Oct 08: Alf-Mile — an educational interactive game set in 3D virtual reality

Players travel around a virtual Arab world, learning about local customs, exploring the culture of various Arab countries, and discovering both major and lesser-known historical and geographical sites. Along the way, they meet and interact with other players online. The game allows players to customize their virtual environment and helps improve their design, programming, and 3D gaming skills.

The project holder is Hassan Ayoub, with a team of four members (as listed in the original application form).

IJMA3 2008

The Next Life project aims to create an online high quality and unexperienced Real Virtual Universe based on real life experience. The user chooses a real life based virtual identity. The user will develop a virtual body according to pre-filled information like sex, age, race, and can even use a digital photo. Some standard costumes will be provided. The user will be able to contribute to the virtual universe by adding objects to the universe. A parental control will be applied by default to censor unsuitable activities. All the objects in the universe are interactive. Some tools are offered for sale to aid the user’s navigation around the virtual universe, like the magic hand.
